Mike,

I'm an extension agronomist in Vermont working with some folks on grass energy and pelleting. I really like the way you have set up your operation for utilizing "waste" hay. Even though there is a lot of interest in "growing" grasses for energy, I think your approach is the way to start.

If you don't mind, I have a couple of questions. I know we have folks in Vermont that would be very interested in a similiar business. I was wondering what equipment you use for grinding and pelletizing the hay. It sounds like you also do wood pellets as well. Would it be affordable if you were only doing grass pellets or does it take both to make this work.

What are you paying for the waste hay? It sounds like you pay at your operation and leave it up to the hay grower (or broker) to deliver it to your operation. Is that correct?

What ever you share, I greatly appreciate.

Sincerely,
